Just a few more days of finals and then i should be able to work on other things!

Over the weekend i drowned myself with finishing touches on my shirt for my Crimson Spell cosplay. I sewed bits and pieces by hand and i'll tell you, sewing with leather HURTS! I even bought a new set of needle's just for this and it still hurt! MMM! (><)

I attached the belts to the shoulders once and then had to take it off....cause it didn't look quite right when i wore it. And the new needle for my machine..tore holes into the fabric which i had to patch by hand...lucky for me it wasn't severely damaged but still....i was bummed that night :(

But! Everything is fixed now and works perfectly (>0<)

I finished the necklace, shirt, and gloves. Next is the sword, neckerchief, new wig (have ordered) belt and sheath for the sword!

It took me my whole Sunday but I did it!

I have always wanted to make a shirt in a day.

Wish granted!

I really am fond of taking old cosplays or cloths apart, using those for patterns and modifying them.

I had to remake the back twice since my cutting skills are still some-what-to-be-desired.

I thought this picture looked very cool!

All I have to go off of is this color shot (really) from the manga. And i use some of the black and white shots too to figure out the whole outfit.

I also got a chance to use my mannequin. 

Val's vest appears skin tight on him. I needed it to fit me as close as possible. And with the mannequin, i was able to tighten it up to my measurements without having to stick it onto me and measure, like before.

The mannequin sure makes a huge difference (i highly request cosplayers invest in them) :)

few more snips and changes here and there and then it was time to add on the white seam tape!

And it fits like a glove!! 

Originally, since it is fine stretchy fabric, i was not going to add a zipper. I'm pretty small so I figured it would be easy to put on and take off. 

I am so glad I added a zipper (actually found it while gathering up materials from my fabric bin) :)

Seam tape can be challenging! But if you use an iron and pins, it helps much.

All that is left is to make the belt buckles and add those onto the shoulders. 

(I think i'll hand sew the belts on...i still have to clean out my machine!)

I have yet to decide if i want to add the collar b/c i do have a sleeveless dress shirt that i plan to use for the undershirt...I'll have to take it for a test run. (I also have my old Ciel Phantomhive dress shirt. With frills at the end that would go along well with this).

I am very proud of myself! I use to think i couldn't do this stuff.

But boy was i wrong!

and glad of it!

And then there is my sword! XD

 I already have it drawn out on wood. Dad just needs to cut it out (i could do it myself yet pap doesn't want me near his tools. Even though i grew up with them around me) 8P

Hopefully it will be cut out soon.

At the end of my summer vacation.

All the while i go to school and work.

The Red Spell

My Crimson Spell cosplay construction has begun and i am very happy with the work i have finished so far.

I am making the simple outfit from this image from the manga of Prince Vald. It isn't very much to go on but taken a look at other images from the comic, i think i have a good idea of what i want.

To me, his necklace in the image link, looked something like a butterfly and lucky for me there was a clearance of accessories at joans. I looked and looked and found some wondrous items (i just hope Hall doesn't steal them before i have a chance to use them) :)

I took most of this stuff apart with my bear hands! Till my dad noticed what i was doing and let me borrow his tools.....*face palm*

This, on the right, is what i have completed so far of the necklace. All that's left is to string some beads on a thread and attach it.

Not really a carver, however i am still proud to know that i can do this now! My first time really focusing on a pumpkin. I would have put Riku as well yet i didn't want to get carried away..... xP

Within my breaks of writing my essays n studies, I decided that I was going to make Sea Salt ice cream props! I think it will complement my school ver. of Xion =0

I really like using styrofoam as the base for many small projects and Power Grab for glue. 

They both work very well (^^)

AND sand paper!!! GOD i love sand paper!

 Can't be KH without a "winner' ice cream stick <3

I did have four yet i goofed on the last one :(

But i still have three....

So this is just a simple I drew a while ago.

I feel we all play the part of a lonely, unnoticeable, puppet in the endless, cruel game of life. And among'st all the users, we feel like a Nobody. 

Yet

We all contain a beautiful princess, deep within ourselves

patiently waiting to make her entrance.

I'm starting to finish up some things and starting to think on other cosplays I want to do. I have so many characters I'd like to play yet I'm so slow at bringing them to life.

ANYWAYS!!

 LA-DAH!!!!!! My Kingdom Hearts school uniform is done!! I finished the tie today (-3-)

Now, either wait for my own hair to grow out n be my own KH school gal! (main reason for making this ><) or style my old loveless wig and be Xion.

My Last Unicorn wig n outfit are done! All that's left is the shoes which I hope to finish very soon. I styled the wig with very little GOT2B hair spray and a touch of tacky glue for the tips. The yellow pins are there to hold up the hair curl as i spray it. I also lightly sprayed the braids so they wouldn't get too frizzy as i prance around ( ^_- )
( The mark on my foam head was from my Crown Clown - D.Gray-Man - Allen Walker - wig  XP so no confusies there! )
I put some air dry clay around the horn today to have it more thick n a tad longer yet it was pretty tricky (=.=)

"She'll Never Get Her Dress Done"

I certainly have been moving along with my cosplays. One project after another to keep me busy (^0^)

SO! I was gonna wait to share this till I had the whole uniform done and the semester started again, but I fell in love with a few test shots and couldn't help but talk about em!

This is my fourth time making the kingdom hearts school uniform. I am very proud of myself for creating it so many times in different ways and with different fabrics. I have learned much!!
I plan to cosplay as school Xion and even to wear it for fun! All I have left is to make the tie, style a wig, and patch a hole in my dark blue socks (^^);

 This would have to be my simplest wig-work yet! I ordered two wigs off EpicCosplay.com The base being a short wig and one long pony-tail clip. I took the pony-tail-clip apart and attached the wefs to the lower back of the wig n TAH-DAH!! This new wig is for this cosplay I'm remaking Sukisho - Sunao F. I just finished tying dark red seam tape around the hair for his pony tail. Maybe I'll post of shot later.

AND now! My Last Unicorn sleeves/gloves are done and all I have to do, is sew one more sleeve on then start working on the shoes n wig (^3^) I really like my idea for putting pretty "lace-fluff" on the ends of the gloves. I plan to do the same thing for my boots b/c the unicorn has patches of fur on the ends of her hooves and I thought that would be a pretty good detail to bring to life.
The sleeve like gloves are made out of white tights I found at the good will for only 50 cents!
I can hardly weight for a dress rehearsal <3

The Last Cosplay

 I finally bought myself and dress making mannequin and started workin on my very own design for my Last Unicorn cosplay. I got inspired by this cosplayer and a group of ppl in Germany that put together a The Last Unicorn Musical. I have been a huge lover of that movie since i was very small and thought to myself "I want to be a unicorn"! (^.^) 

In the first picture i attached the tale n frills to the edge of the dress and also made the front of the dress shorter. I bought the dress from H&M and modify it. I will be preforming my own dance along with this outfit. i hope. The last thing i attached today was the scarf/collar and all that if left if to make the under skirt, sleeves, hunt for some shoes, style the wig, and practice, practice. 

I am very happy and proud of myself for how marvelous this is truing out. I also have a Red Bull design but i think i'll let it stay a picture for now. 

(Me is no furry! I am a Unicorn)! I put two wigs together just by hand sewing one on top of the other. Yeah. SUPER LAZY! but i think it'll work. I mean, it sure is thick enough. 

I Have a butterfly i will be adding along with the outfit too and maybe, if i ask nicely, a fiend might play the butterfly for me (^0^)

Midnight Grey

Some art work of mine. YES. MINE! So no steal'z please^^ And all before midnight. I started this few nights ago, took my time and kept workin on it. I had something slightly different in mind but it flew another way~

SO. Guess I'll start this thing by uploading work-in-progress pics. of my new D.Gray-Man Timcampy. I'm really taking my time with this new prop. I've let things sit for WEEKS so it can COMPLETELY dry. It has become quite sturdy (the less one touches it). 
This is my fourth time constructing this golem.

The materials I've used this time consist of :

• one Styrofoam egg (used exacter knife and sandpaper to morph it into a ball)
• gold wire
• two hooks
• E6000 glue (for attaching stubs n horns)
• Power Grab Glue (its used for house touch up like tiles and boarding. It dries clear. I made a SMALL incision for the wire, squeezed some glue into the hole and onto one of the ends of the wire that I would be inserting into the foam ball). 
• Model Magic clay (you get it at CVS, Target)
• Craft Foam sheet (thin in any color).

N' there you have it <3 Of course I intend to give Tim his color later :3
