Spring NorCalCosplay

I remade my Spiral cosplay! I cosplayed as Hiyono years before yet now, having learned more about sewing, i thought it was a good time to remake the uniform.

And it was <3

I really love how this came out! I even got to try my first attempt at making a welt pocket! It came out so good you can't even tell that it is a pocket (and it holds my phone perfectly)! Also, i was finally able to find a wig with the right color brown i wanted! My first wig for this cosplay was a blond/brown(though it was more blond) the next one i tried was a brown one and now i have this one which is a golden brown!  <3 Works perfectly! Though i might order another one and attach it to this one to make it thicker.

Hello my cosplay blog!

Been thinking about you a lot lately.
And how i think i need to bring you back to life.
Here i feel like i can brag a little a give myself a bit more confidence in my work.

I'm not the best seamstress but i could be to the best of my ability.
The only person, cosplayer, artist i have to get better than is who i am right now.

Lets start!! x3

Been working as much as i can on new cosplays!
Hinata Shoyo from Haikyu and Hiyono from Spiral. I've managed to get Hinata's casual outfit done and the base of Hiyono's Jacket and skirt done too!

Hinata's shoes have also been finished! Simple white tennies from Walmart. I painted on the design with red fabric paint.

The design's on the shoes certainly threw me for a loop. I had to draw out what I thought the design's looked like about two or three times. Even re-watched some eps to get a better idea. I first mapped the design's with colored pencil.

Wow! May not seem like much but i have been  busy.

Even if...

...I do have a fb artist page, i am still drawn to this site.

Many things have been goin on! Both good and not so good.

On the good side, i've been getting back into watching and reading Japanese cartoons and comics. Even some super hero tv series like Arrow!
School is back and i'm only taking one class this semester, so i'm able to put more time into my job and earn a little more money.
Money is so tight right now its very infuriating! I want to start new projects and remake things yet i need money! UGH!
I have truly amazing friends and times to look forward too though!

In regards to cosplay -

I was able to attend Nor Cal winter cosplay gathering for the first time and debuted my 07-Ghost cosplay with a very lovely princess Ouka <3

I'll share photos another time, since i really want to remake it...

And recently,

I finished my Dramatical Murder Aoba cosplay! Constructed everything! Even dyed the pants x3
I love my DmmD groupies! I had such fun with this cosplay and looking forward to wearing it again! I debuted this at winter sac anime 2015
What else?
Hm..
I got to meet the original voice actress of Sailor Moon! That was a dream come true!
I made the goddess Madoka of Madoka Magical completely swoon while i was Aoba xP
And hung out with friends till three in the morning and was actually able to put make-up on the next day><

I do have some materials that i could work on for other cosplays i plan to do.
Just battling one cold after another is exhausting.

Even though money is tight, i did order some stuff earlier so i could have a few things to work on.
My new wig for my redo cosplay of Hiyono from Spiral arrived on Wednesday so i'm gonna start working a bit on that once i'm through being sick><
But i really love the color of this wig and i look forward to being this character again
And more so! My brother just might be my Aiyumu! It will be my first time cosplaying something with him and i'm hoping more memories will be created!
